Upland Consulting Nigeria Limited (UCNL) was duly incorporated as a fully Nigerian Owned corporation on 26th of January 2004. However, UNCL is an independent subsidiary of Upland Consulting Inc., Minnesota, USA – both companies have the same majority ownership and share resources in a manner that facilitates complete knowledge transfer to Nigeria. Upland Consulting Inc. has been in operation since 2001 and has a very long list of clients as well as technical partners.

In addition, UCNL has developed some very impressive strategic technical partnerships with major companies that have world-class reputations and global brands. Technical partners include Siemens AG, in Germany, Intergraph (Asset Tracking software and INTOOLS)  in Alabama, USA, Blue Sky Network (Asset Tracking devices) in San Diego, USA, Tokairo (TokOpen) in Texas USA, Maxima Electrical, Missouri, USA, ImageTek (Scanners) in South Africa, Open Text (LiveLink) of Switzerland, ObjectFx  in Minnesota, (GIS provider) and Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.  Locally in Nigeria, UNCL also has a strategic partnership with the ASCON Oil group and with CISAN International, PETMAM as well as Rockson Engineering.  We believe that through these strategic partnerships, we can best expedite the capacity building that is so essential to the Nigerian content initiative

Also, through these strategic technical partnerships, UCNL has been able to significantly broaden its scope of services and the access to highly skilled technical talents. UCNL primary goal is to establish a strong presence in the Oil and Gas sector in Nigeria, thus contributing to the technology capacity building with Nigerian content in this sector. Currently, UCNL is providing technical consulting services to the IT Infrastructure group at Shell in Nigeria – (i.e. SPDC).  In addition, UNCL was engaged to produce the Business Continuity Plan for SPDC as well as develop a mathematical simulation model for FPSO operations for SNEPCO. UNCL was also been awarded the contract to implement a document management system for Mobil Producing Unlimited (MPN) in addition to providing representation on behalf on Hyundai Heavy Industries for the Alaoji Power Transformers project
