Using existing physical metrics gathered by the client, Upland
was engaged to develop and implement a productivity measurement
process to meet service level agreement requirements and provide better
management decision-making capabilities.
The Solution:
Upland applied regression analysis and other statistical techniques to
the physical metrics associated with software development projects. This
provided the client with an innovative, unique and cost-effective way
to accurately measure their software development productivity. The software
development projects included in the productivity measurements represent
a total budget exceeding $50 million. Upland has used the results of the
statistical analysis to create and apply unique methods to measure and
report software development productivity for multiple business units.

delivery of functionality. Upland provided a thorough and concise report
showing the true status of the project and recommended specific actions
to stabilize the environment and set a new cost-effective long-term direction
